The new, recently revealed Green Homes Grant Scheme Blackpool could allow homeowners and landlords to receive up to £10,000 to help make their home/ property more energy-efficient. This is certainly good news after a difficult year so far but, how exactly do you apply for the scheme and what is covered?

Unfortunately, these are difficult questions to answer right now. What we do know is that with the Green Homes Grant Scheme, Blackpool homeowners and landlords will be to apply in September 2020 using the Simple Energy Advice website.

However, the exact details in regard to the eligibility criteria have yet to be revealed. But, we know some information in regard to how the Green Homes Grant Scheme Blackpool will work. Under the scheme, you will need a quote from an approved installer detailing the work being done.

Again, what work will be covered by the scheme is unknown at this time. However, we do know that the majority of money will be capped at £5000 and that they can only cover two-thirds of the total cost of work.

If you are a low-income home owner or landlord then the voucher cap is increased to £10,000 and they can cover 100% of the cost.
